Anya Kluesner

Anya Kluesner is a Milwaukee Based Artist working to obtain their BFA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where they study Studio Art, Art History, and Dance.


Anya began dancing at a young age, studying Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Pom, HipHop, Musical Theater, Modern and Contemporary, eventually teaching and choreographing within this array of styles. In addition to Training and Performing growing up, Anya has attended many competitions and conventions spanning into their professional career. This is seen throughout Anya’s time at the University of Oregon (2022-23), performing work under Hannah Victoria Thomas, and Shannon Mockli, attendance of Water Street Dance Festival (2023), role within Danceworks Apprentice Company MKE, and Fabel Dance Company (2024-25) where they performed work by Lia Smith-Redmann, Ashley Ray Garcia, and Christal Wagner, in addition to their technical training at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (2023-25).


Within Anya's time at the UWM, they have gone on to represent the Dance Department at the American College Dance Association (ACDA) National Competition after qualifying at the North-Central Regional Conference, performing work by Undergraduate Megan Holzhauer.


Anya plans to continue their personal training in hopes of passing all they have learned on to their own students.
